BoatBuckle's second-generation transom tie-down straps bolt to the rear crossmembers of your trailer and simplify the securing and unloading of your boat. They are designed to keep constant tension on the strap and require minimal ratcheting to secure your load. Instead of always having to find and store tie-down straps that hook to the tie-down anchors on the back of your boat, BoatBuckle's straps are always right where you need them. Just pull up on the hook and strap, attach the hook to the transom, and then operate the ratchet several times. No more dealing with extra webbing or looking for the tie-down strap. And when unloading, simply push the release button on the ratchet, free the hook from the transom anchor and let the strap retract back down into the ratchet.
Installation
These straps come with the mounting hardware that you'll need to install them. It is recommended that you use anti-seize (LT37616 - sold separately) to ensure that the nuts are properly tightened down over the bolts. You can mount the ratchets with the included bolts directly to the trailer frame or crossmember. If you need to angle the ratchet strap or move it a little farther off the frame, a universal mounting kit (IMF14254 - sold separately) is available.
Note: Transom tie-downs should always be used along with a winch strap and a pair of gunwale tie-downs. All straps and cables should be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). To determine the maximum load, or break strength, of the strap, simply multiply the WLL by 3. The WLL is always one-third (1/3) of the maximum load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

My Sailboat was slipping during long hauls on its trailer and I would have to launch it to get it level again. By using one Boat Buckle on each side, this totally eliminated the problem. Great Product!

Where have you been with all my boats over the years?
I no longer have to worry about where to put my straps after we launch the boat. The retractable strap is quick-out of the way- don't have to scrounge getting the straps anymore. The bolts are heavier enough to hold my 26' cutty cabin.

Hey! When you got the best, need I say anymore. They look as if I put them on today
Fifteen minute install using the existing tabs on my Skeeter trailer. Installed this morning but have not used them other than to strap my boat down after replacing the cheap factory tie downs.
Seem to be decent quality and the weight is far greater than expected. I think these will last a long time if not abused.

No problems and makes securing my boat a snap
Product was easy to bolt into existing tie down trailer holes with hardware provided. Easy to ratchet tight and release. I travel 11 to 40 miles each way to lakes I currently fish. Straps did not loosen. I have had them on my trailer for about three weeks. Very pleased and hope they will operate for a long time.

Great product...a real time saver...no more storing tiedowns or pinched fingers from cam locks. Liked it soo well I bought a 2nd set for my new boat and a set for my son to use on his boat.

I purchased these tie downs to replace a pair of 11 year old BoatBuckles that had some issues with the springs popping off. The new ones have a completely re-designed spring attachment assembly which solved the problem. The new design is also so much smoother and easier to use. I would highly recommend this product for your boat trailer.

I really love these tie downs. They work great and operate smoothly. I still recommend them to anyone.
Great product. I installed them on my Ranger Boat trailer. Makes loading and unloading much easier and faster. When using crowded boat ramps it is courteous to get in or out as quickly as possible. These ratcheting tie-downs are simple and fast. They are very well made so you can tow safely and have the confidence that whatever you are towing is secure.

Works great and seem very durable
The old Rod Saver cam-type hold-down straps on my boat trailer had become increasingly difficult to properly tension. After a 15 minute installation of these Boat Buckle straps, I know why others like them. They’re super quick to hook and properly tension, and I no longer have to carry straps to my truck before launching our boat.

After spending 5 to 10 minutes to get my oil cal straps to the proper tension each time I loaded my boat, these ratchet straps take less than 15 seconds to hook and tension on each side. Great product!
Have had these for a year and they work great. Easy use and release function makes it very quick on and off. Much better then taking the straps on and off i had before.
Impossible to get the tie downs separated the packaging.

Been a year now and everything is still working well. Great quality and extremely easy to use.
These were easy to install and made securing the stern of our boat to the trailer fast and easy. Bolted right to the trailer, not in a bucket somewhere. Take seconds to tighten and release. Great product. Did two winters in and out of salt water in Florida and no problems.
New boat didn't come with Boat Buckles, it was my first purchase for the new boat. Outstanding product, I had these on my previous boat. Etrailer has always provided fast shipping at great prices..thanks!!!
I ordered tires in the past from etrailer for our boat trailer..so I ordered tie downs for back of boat to avoid bouncing on rough roads..they came within a week..I was so surprised..they are fast delivery on standard shipping..very nice quality products..carton has directions for quick release.. very pleased and will order more from them in future when we need something..thank you etrailer..

I’m in the process of returning them. The online description stated that they could be used in salt water, but when they arrived it clearly stated on the outside of the package that BoatBuckle does not recommend using that particular model in brackish or salt water. I will say however, that Ginny with your customer service department was very good to work with and she did an outstanding job helping me with my return. With customer service like that I will definitely consider ordering from etrailer in the future.

Its been a year of medium duty use on my trailer and the BoatBuckle still works like a dream. Turns out the stainless may have been over kill.
